What would a world without The Beatles look like? The new romantic comedy "Yesterday" answers this question for us, with mixed results.

Review: ‘Avengers: End Game’ a fitting final chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it4/23/2019 ”Avengers: End Game” is funny, exciting, a bit too long and a bit absurd...or in other words, it’s exactly what we’ve come to expect over the course of the 21 previous Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies. “End Game” is the 22nd MCU film and is billed as the “final” installment for this particular group of superheroes.
And while it's a crowd-pleaser through and through, what wasn’t expected was for this last chapter to pack such an emotional wallop. WARNING: What follows is a review of the film that DOES contain MILD SPOILERS, so proceed with caution. From the pits of Hell, I sort of wish "Hellboy" would have just stayed there.
The demystification of the Star Wars Universe continues with "Solo: A Star Wars Story," the second stand-alone adventure (following 2016's "Rogue One") and the 10th overall Star Wars film. It's basically the backstory of one of the saga's most beloved smart-alecks, Han Solo, the pilot of the Millennium Falcon who, along with his pal "Chewie" (his affectionate title for the wookie Chewbacca), get reluctantly entangled in Luke Skywalker's journey to destroy the Death Star and the evil Darth Vader back in the original Episode IV (1977) film. Han would go on to fall in love with a Princess, and have a son who would become the franchise's most recent super-villain nemesis, Kylo Ren. But what led up to Han Solo and Chewbacca coming to arrive in that cantina on Mos Eisley where they originally were hired by Obi-Wan Kenobi and a young Luke? What exactly is Han's history with friend/nemesis Lando Calrissian? What is a "parsec" and why does Han brag about completing the Kessel Run in less than 12 of them? And how exactly did Solo come to know that darned wookie anyways?
(Minor plot spoilers to follow, and then for some more juicier, spoiler-y gossip, check out this article's final paragraph). Movie review: 'The Avengers: Infinity War' worth the wait, but comes with a steep price for the MCU4/25/2018 It all has been leading up to this. Ever since we glimpsed at the galactic villain Thanos (Josh Brolin) in the post-credit scene of 2012's first mega-superhero-crossover, "The Avengers," we knew a threat bigger than all of the combined parts of the Marvel Comics Universe (MCU) was on its way. But even the all-powerful Watchers couldn't have predicted this: That this over-stuffed amalgam of capes, characters, planets and super-powers would all come together to deliver what is undeniably going to be known as the most emotionally-powerful, hard-hitting Marvel movie yet (Minor - yes minor - plot spoilers to follow, although we'll leave the biggest surprises and twists for you to find out about in the theater...and there are several).
hen a character in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" utters the sentence, "This is not going to go the way you think," they might as well have been speaking directly to the audience. The highly-anticipated "Episode VIII" is an emotional, powerful and exciting follow-up to 2015's "The Force Awakens," but for as much momentum as that film created, this newest chapter isn't looking to merely move the saga forward...it's aiming to re-invent it completely for the next generation. Don't worry, this review only contains mild plot spoilers and will not go near the several major twists and surprises that you're in store for...but if you don't want to know anything at all about the movie, please bookmark this review or come back later. Here's your last warning! Review: DC's 'Wonder Woman' one giant leap for womankind, if only a small step for the genre6/2/2017 The greatest wonder of all in regards to the new "Wonder Woman" (opening today), is how it took this long to finally bring a female superhero to the forefront of a comic book movie. Thus far, it's been a man's world when it comes to superhero films, but DC finally delivers a proud, strong, female character (helped out by a strong, talented female lead) in their second "DC Universe" film (following the poorly received "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" last year). The problem is that other than the gender reversal, "Wonder Woman" does little else that feels fresh, and the hokey backstory dealing with Greek Gods and Goddesses feels implausible when you consider that it is supposed to exist in the same space as Gotham City.
