About the show.
"Movie Show Plus" has been a staple on Detroit Television for over a decade. Re-launched and re-imagined in 2018, the show is one of the only ongoing movie-themed shows produced in Detroit, MI. The show features host and show creator Greg Russell with a weekly dose of his A-List celebrity interviews and feature stories (see below for more info on Greg!). It also features reviews of the latest movies, with film critic Tom Santilli (TomSantilli.com). The "Plus" in the title means that there is much more to "Movie Show Plus" than just celebrity interviews and reviews. Greg Russell has been a television fixture for nearly 40 years. Based in Detroit, Greg Russell is the movie reviewer and celebrity interviewer for "Live In The D" on WDIV (NBC) in the Motor City. His celebrity interviews have a large presence on the stations website, www.ClickOnDetroit.com. Greg’s movie reviews are also heard every Friday morning with Paul W. Smith on WJR AM 760. Greg is an Emmy Award winning producer ("Positively Detroit") and was recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with a Silver Circle Award (2012). Greg was recently elected president of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Michigan Chapter). Greg Is a member of the Critics Choice Association, The Detroit Film Critics Society and the African American Film Critics. Greg was also on the board for the Michigan chapter of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). Greg Russell is also a long time radio personality in Detroit. He is also a life long Detroiter.

Tom Santilli

Tom Santilli is a RottenTomatoes-approved movie critic and Executive Producer and co-host of "Movie Show Plus." He is the former President of the Detroit Film Critics Society, and is a member of the Critics Choice Association. Tom's movie reviews have been featured nationally and a blurb from his review of David Chase's film, "Not Fade Away," appears on the front cover of the DVD/Blu-Ray release. Tom also appeared weekly on FOX-2 in Detroit on the weekly 30-minute show, "Critic LEE Speaking," with fellow film critic and TV personality, Lee Thomas. He currently is the resident Film Critic appearing on WXYZ - Channel 7 (ABC-affiliate) in Detroit.
Tom graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts. His movie reviews led him to be chosen for a national campaign for National CineMedia, where he was featured in movie theaters across the country as one of America's "Top Movie Critics."
